I downloaded Ubuntu, as we speak, to create a dual boot on my laptop. What software to burn CD should be used to obtain the ISO to a CD?

If you have a full and free InfraRecorder

http://infrarecorder.org/

It is really good and works with all units, and Free
I have used for many years and have never had a problem

In addition, you can MagicDrive whether to open the ISO as a disk without burning, then you can Wubi to install MagicISO much easier and safer it is free and easy and Wubi is much more certain that the window or the information contained data.

Magic Drive:

Windows XP
1.Download and install Infra Recorder: http://infrarecorder.sourceforge.net/
a free and open source image burning program.
2.Enter a blank CD into the drive and select no or cancel, if the automatic execution of a dialog box appears.
3.Open Infra Recorder, and click the "Burn" button on the main screen. ◦ They also see the menu 'Image actions can', then 'Burn'.
4. Select the Ubuntu CD image file you want, then click "Open".
5.In dialog box, click OK.

1.Download and install the appropriate version of ISO Recorder.
2.Share unformatted CD into the drive. (Hint: You can burn DVDs with this tool for Vista.)
3. Open Windows Explorer, locate the ISO file, right click and select "Continue".

Nero is good. To burn an ISO image, you can even lite "free" version that comes with most CD burners.

Free alternatives are visible:
ImgBurn
CDBurnerXP
